We are delighted to share some fantastic news about a member of the Castle Hill Primary School community. Mrs Toobe, who serves as a PTP (Professional Teaching Partner), ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) and Clerk to the Governing Body, has been recognised nationally for her outstanding dedication over the past 20 years.
Nominated by Miss Jones for the Unsung Hero Pearson National Teaching Award, Mrs Toobe was selected from thousands of nominees across the country and awarded a Silver Award! This is a remarkable achievement highlighting her care, compassion and commitment to every part of school life.
Many children submitted video evidence supporting Mrs Toobe’s nomination. The judges were particularly impressed by how highly everybody spoke of her, praising the warmth and respect that came through clearly in every message.
Following her Silver Award win, Mrs Toobe and Miss Jones have attended a celebration in London this month alongside other national winners.
Mrs Toobe is also now shortlisted for the Gold Award, which will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony in London and on BBC One’s ‘The One Show’ later this year in November.
We are incredibly proud of Mrs Toobe’s achievement. Her unwavering dedication, kindness and hard work over the last two decades have made a lasting impact on so many in our school community.
Upon receiving the award Mrs Toobe mentioned how dedicated all staff are in supporting children day in and day out. This award is not just for her but for all of the Castle Hill Family! It is testament to all staff how they pull together to deliver outstanding teaching and provide a supportive environment for children’s wellbeing.
